Hello fellow Wingers,

What has been your experience with the Pak-It Rak? Does it hold enough gear to make it worth the price? And does it affect the handling of your bike? And are there any issues with covering up the brake lights, license plate or exhaust? Thanks for any info you can provide. I am considering buying one for a long trip to colorado next year.

I have had one since they first came out. I sometimes use the bag that Dixon Y sells with the rack, and sometimes a cooler about the same size. I can tell absolutely no difference in handling. However, I never load it down, usually with extra clothes etc. I have used the cooler (with a couple of adult beverages and ice) and still didn't notice any difference in handling. I have the turn down tips on my 06, but had absolutely no problem with the stock pipes on my 02. If I use the cooler, it comes up a little high on the tag, but have had no problem with the LEO's. I guess I must like it,,as I had one on the 02 and bought another for the 06.
