Zion National Park 2019 on a BMW ADV. As we pulled into the park, this guy greeted us. He was standing above us and the pic was taken by my wife on the back of the bike.
Nice picture!!
There is an eagles nest in the woods between my house and my parents place on the lake. A human could easily fit in that old nest but the ground around underneath the nest is so nasty that I sure wouldn't want to be in the actual nest!!Nice picture!!
Ever see an Eagles nest?
I swear a human could fit in there! đź¤
I was also just there this past Summer. I'll have to dig out my picture.
It's crazy how big these are!Drag line bucket. The coal mine I retired from (Bear Run) mine in southern Indiana has two drag lines.
They also have two electric shovels that load 300 ton trucks with three scoops per truck (End Dump).

A good buddy of mine worked at Kennedy keeping the ethernet running during launches and landings.I have been fortunate to have been a part of the 45th Space Wing and later Space Launch Delta 45 from 2006-2024. I have watched some incredible launches and landings over the years. Thought you might like these (although, unlike the earlier pictures I didn't get my Goldwing into the pictures).
Below, space launch "jellyfish" seen from my home.

More Space Jelly fish below. These usually happen either at sunrise or sunset and the exhaust essentially turns to ice.

Two different ways to get a shuttle back to the Florida Space Coast. I have already shown one, but below are some better pics.

The glide angle was very steep when the shuttle flew in (as opposed to 747 piggyback). The sonic boom was incredible! The shuttle would try KSC and if conditions were unfavorable the would do another 90 world tour and try again. Then a second try on the next day. Otherwise it was an Edwards AFB landing and then it was piggyback time.
I miss the shuttle launches and reentries. That was a spectacular era. But there have been so many launches lately (sometimes several a week) that I don’t even bother to go look. I hear the launch, the sonic boom of booster reentry and I continue with whatever I’m doing. They are beautiful when you watch them though.I have been fortunate to have been a part of the 45th Space Wing and later Space Launch Delta 45 from 2006-2024.
