assurance triple tread comes in h and v rated. What rating do you use.

Same choice with the Pirelli ROF - I went with H for 3 reasons: I very rarely see triple digit speeds, the tire is 5 pounds lighter, and cheaper than the "V" rated shoe.

Those are good reasons, Blown. Higher speeds need heavier tire construction.

Now, x rated....you have to ask the man who knows where the strippers and pole dancers are. :joke:
Are you da man Murgie? I didn't think WV was known for their strip clubs :joke:

Anyway, speed ratings are for sustained speeds, and you can bet there is a safety factor built in on top of that.

Ok geting rid of Dunlop 195/55/16 RF Good tire not enough mileage out of it. Going with Goodyear Triple Tread 91XXX. Follow Murgie he nows where the poles are :eek:4::wrong:

V rated has a stiffer sidewall. If you are doing a tradeoff between a RF and a NRF, the V is closer to the RF, the H closer to the NRF... Imho this tire in any rating is a good medium weight tire. My preference is the V-rated TT.
