Looking to leave around Clarksville TN Area or Russellville, KY area headed to Quantico VA in may
thinking about cumberland parkway through ky to around 75 then zig zag down around 64
whats your thoughts everyone, or does someone else have a better scenic route from that area
dont mind a little superslab but think we have decided to stay away from most superslab

dont have to be in a hurry leaving thursday the 10th dont have to be in DC area till saturday.

Is there any reason you wouldn't come up the Blue Ridge Parkway and part of Skyline Drive, at least in Virginia?

If you aren't in a hurry and you want to avoid the super slab, you should try US68/KY80 instead of the Cumberland Parkway. By Kentucky standards, the Cumberland Parkway is the super slab.

KY80 is scenic all the way to Prestonsburg. Some bits are fairly twisty too.

The Cumberland Parkway is boring, but faster. That 68/80 route is much more scenic. Russelville to Lexington, then Hwy 421 to Boone Nc is a good days ride. Hwy 62 east through Etown is nice also
