True, or not true... When they make one, I'll buy it!
and
I've had more than one person ask it those vents on my 02 are for AC

When anybody asks me what the "WB" button on my wing is I tell them it stands for "wipe butt". 😁

Is there a point to this thread? Do we have to agree the guy is an idiot? It's possible, he has no clue what features Goldwings have and is just reguritating some nonsense he's heard. Or he could be embelishing the creature comforts of a Goldwing, and tore some thin skin in the process.

Nope! No point to this thread at all

Nope. Nor does there have to be. But I'm finding some of the response comments amusing. That counts as "purpose" for me..

If there had to be a point to our discussions, the number of discussions would plummet, and then what would be the point?

I walked into a local shop today for the first time to check out his business. Speaking to the owner who was I'd say in his early 50's, he was tell me about all the various used lawn mowers, snow throwers and other yard maintenance machines he had in his yard. He also had about 10 used motorcycles prominently displayed near the road that he was selling on consignment. He himself is a long time rider of mostly Harleys and had done some drag racing with one he showed me that he had inside and was working on. He asked me what I was riding and after telling him about my '02 Wing he said "yeah - the new ones are really something - even have air conditioning!" Not wanting to contradict the owner who I was meeting for the first time, I played along like I didn't know they had become THAT advanced.. I don't think he was testing me; he really believes they are air conditioned. So I just took his card, walked away and wished him well. I don't think I'll be doing business there.

Edit: To be clear, this was not a new motorcycle sales outlet. It was used various yard machines etc that also happened to to be selling used MCs on consignment.

Here is my Air Conditioner (it conditions my air in hot and dry times). I ride in the DFW area and found I could position the nozzle in the air stream of the windshield vent and have the swamp cooler effect for most of my ride home at night. That was about a 45 minute ride. When it is 105-110 degrees, any drop in the overall feel of temp is appreciated. On my 1500, the baker wings worked great to increase the air flow to the driver and rider. On my 1800, the under mirror deflectors work great to do the same thing. The O-65 AC does function OK most of the time (O=Open air, 65 = 65 MPH).The MO-65 just works better (M=Mister by Mistymate).

I say we don't entertain foolishness such as that.

My Stallion has Air Conditioning and Heat. It does have a Ford Ranger motor in it though.

My riding buddies usually asked if the vents were for heat, and I would explain how the Baker Wings, when turned in, would pull heat from the radiators onto my legs... then I would point back to the vents and say "these are for the A/C"

For about a second, they would have a confused look on their face before realizing I was joking.

My 2019 GW has AC - in the seat, thanks to Corbin...:)
