Anyone have this? Gold Wing Kickstand Pad, 2018+ - Traxxion Dynamics

I currently use a small piece of diamond plate that I take out of the saddle bag when needed. This seems more convenient but I'm wondering if it's worth the $40 price tag and what peoples' experience has been with it. I know Rivco makes one as well.

DING DING DING DING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! # 3. That's the winner by a landslide. I also got one of these about a million years ago FOR FREE from.................I don't remember where. It works the same today as it worked when I got it one million years ago AND it will work a million years from now. Spend the extra $$$$ on travel, a gift for someone, a good meal..................ANYTHING but to lean a motorcycle on.

I have it.. I'm quite happy with it. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. I had something similar on my RT. In my opinion, it's 1000% easier to have that on the kickstand foot instead of carrying around a pad to put underneath your kickstand. I never think about, I just put my kickstand down. It was one of the first things I installed on my RT way back in 2006 and it WAS the first thing I installed on my '18 wing. I personally wouldn't live without one. But everyone has a different opinion of course.

To me, $40.00 for not having to mess with some removable pad was worth every penny.

Rivco has one as well, which likely works just as well, but I liked the look of the Traxxion one better

Note - there are already some Rivco fakes on Amazon, but I'd rather give my money to Max...

@FL_19 GL1800D @Wiscocyclist I agree with Wiscocyclist and it is worth the $ as far as I'm concerned. I only had to remove and add some Blue Loctite as the screw backed out once causing loose fit. No more throwing the kick stand foot pad down and moving it into place for me!

I have Rivco's on 2010 & 2018. No worries about soft and new asphalt on hot summer day. Mostly no worries on gravel, but out in grass.... I dig out a stand pad (like post #2 in one bike, big orange "foot" on the other) for a slightly larger footprint on the stand. I have string on both to hook over handlebar and pick it up to put away when I leave.

I like that diamond plate idea. Good on soft surfaces or fresh pavement, stored when not needed. Mine is a semi-rigid plastic form shaped like a bare foot of about size 6 shoe size or so. I've had that thing for a long time. Hard to part with an old friend, especially when one is a cheap skate.

I have the Traxxion on my 2018 and the Rivco on my 2008. The Traxxion secures better IMHO. I had to replace the Rivco on my 2008 a few years ago after the set screw ground off due to hard cornering.

I was going to order one but $8.50 (21%) for the cheapest shipping option to Wisconsin seems pricey. I must be getting cheap in my older age. Actually, I think I'm one of millions and millions of shoppers that's an Amazon Prime member and expects two-day shipping to my door at no charge. I'll hold off for now.

Not clear on how ya park the bike on soft surface so you can get into the trunk or saddle bag to dig out a pad to put under the kickstand. Unless you have a passenger who hops off first and gets it for ya. Solo riders might have a balancing act to do.

I have the Traxxion pad. "Set it & Forget it". Fits perfectly, works well, worth the money.

$40 plus tax & shipping is a little steep. Before my wing was triked, I had a plastic "disc" about 6" in diameter that my local dealer was giving away one year as a customer appreciation gift. It has a small hold drilled on one side that I ran a string through. I could get the disc out of the passenger storage compartment and toss it down then wrap the string around the left handlebar. When it was time to leave, I pulled it up with the string and stuffed it back into the passenger storage compartment. $0.00 cost other than the string. With that said, I have a few "doo dads" from Traxxion on my '19 wing. They are high quality but expensive.

Bit the bullet and ordered one. Ordering it from Traxxion's eBay store rather than directly from their web site saved me a few bucks on shipping. I'm all about set it and forget it :)
